Nothin’ more than kids on a playground

I remember fondly when the kids got along so well. The three were always playing together wherever they went. They were the tech version of the holy trinity. But what happened? Google, Facebook, and Apple just can’t play nice any more I suppose.

Just a couple of years ago, the then CEO of Google Erik Schmidt sat on Apple’s board of directors. It seemed like a perfect marriage. Google would finally bring excellent ‘net services to Apple’s hardware (MobileMe could and will be better I hope – “iCloud”). Then of course Google had to get into the mobile phone market, then Schmidt left the board, and now Apple is looking to replace the maps app with their own. (Could that be the data center in North Carolina?).

Um, Apple? Good luck replacing google search.

Steve Jobs was seen a few months ago drinking coffee with Zuckerberg from Facebook. Apparently Apple a long time ago wanted to merge itunes music sharing with the Facebook social network. Hmm. I guess that didn’t work out, and Ping was Apple’s attempt at social networking. Oh well. I guess I shouldn’t try to invent something for tech ending in “ing” as in BING, PING, etc.

But I digress.

Yeah – Apple’s hardware, Google’s cloud, and Facebook’s society network. The perfect holy tech trinity.

Then I read this: Facebook pays others to lie about Google

Ahh…..kids…. someday they’ll grow up.
